Note: The name of this saber has nothing to do with production number or anything of that nature. First I should mention I am a Beatles fan. Then there is the numerology significance:
The number 9 represents the beginning and the end of all human experiences. It means forgiveness and introversion. It also includes love and compassion, brotherhood of mankind, and a capacity for living by higher standards. 9 also represents mankind's last earthly lesson: forgiveness.
This saber was a commissioned order. Although the customer has originally stated he was a sith, based on his responses I sensed his strong inclination towards the light side and suggested his weapon reflect that. Upon his approval I designed and built this hilt. It is meant to have very simple, basic lines while still maintaining an air of elegance and distinction. Notice the 9 black grooves and 9 ribs in the emitter section as well as the 9 lit windows on the back. The windows are separated into 3 and 6, the basic and intermediary steps to 9 ( 3x3=9, 3+3=6 ) The screws holding the body together also play on these numbers - 3 sets of 6 screws each. And although I didn't cut it myself, I chose the speaker grill because it has 3 rings of 6 slots each. And lastly, the pommel has a rounded hexagonal shape.
The windows on the back light up with a pale aqua color, but the blade is an intense green.
Sold with 2 polycarbonate blades (1/8 and 1/16 thickness) with shouldered tips and fiber-film diffusers.
